Rollin' Wit It

Spaceship

Deep End

“Chess Moves” is a heartfelt tribute to Chester L. Williams, affectionately known as Chess Moves, of Detroit, Michigan, who transitioned on July 8, 2026. A dear friend of G, Chess was someone who always believed in him, encouraged him, and uplifted him when he needed it most. Chess had a way of reminding G of his own potential. One thing he always said was: “G, I knew you had it. I just wanted you to believe in yourself.” Those words became more than encouragement—they became a lasting reminder of the power of believing in yourself and in the people you love. “Chess Moves” honors his friendship, his spirit, his wisdom, and the impact he had on G and everyone fortunate enough to know him. This song celebrates a life, a friendship, and a voice that continues to inspire even after his transition. Rest in power, Chess. Your moves may have changed, but your influence lives on.
